Spring is slowly advancing across the high country of Western North Carolina, but it is in full swing on the tailwaters of East Tennessee. The SDO crew hit the Watauga River this weekend and found a variety of bugs coming off. Caddis were present and sulfurs made a strong showing. Fish turned on to the bugs as the day progressed, although the majority of the action was still subsurface. Temperatures were high and we have the sunburn to prove it…
